Engineer's Statement of Understanding (SOU) The Engineer's Statement of Understanding (SOU) is intended to familiarize engineers new to our vessels with TDI-Brooks International's policies and procedures. Download the SOU here and complete it within 30 days of joining the vessel. See the controlled copy of Safety Management Manual (SMM) on board to review the sections specified in the Engineer's Statement of Understanding. You may click here to see an uncontrolled electronic copy of the SMM.
